We are now blessed with the replacement bus! It has arrived in Lincoln and will shortly be fitted out and ready for action! Watch this space.
For over four years the God Pod bus has been operating in around the Lincoln area, as a means of outreach and mission to people of all ages who in the main, would have no other contact with any traditional Church. For many it has in fact, truly become their Church 2 yoU in every sense of the Word.
It has confounded evangelists to remark that the "children come running from all directions and they WANT to read the (Childrens’) Bibles." The teenagers, both on the street or in school find it a ‘cool’ place to be, and ask endless questions of faith and Christian beliefs, and a surprising number request a Bible. For the adults a place of peace and calm to discuss, pray and find a closer relationship with God. Every where the Pod goes, and most importantly, it is supported by regular updates for prayer by mobile phone to a nominated telephone prayer partner. In addition the Pod’s activity is blessed by an army of prayer warriors who receive regular updates of the Pod ministry by email (prayer@church2you.co.uk)
As happens to all things automotive, the vehicle we have used so successfully is getting to the end of its economic life. We have set a target of replacing the bus within the next 3 years, and to do that we need raise £20,000 to buy and equip it in the most appropriate way for outreach.
