If you are interested in supporting our ministry you can do it in one of five ways:
- Pray for us.
Praying is the simplest way of helping us in our ministry, often overlooked but ever so vital, If you need a bit of guidance we currently have a stockpile of Bookmarks that can help focus your prayers.
- Volunteer to be on the Bus Crew (Being on the Bus)
For each outreach and mission activity we need both Bus drivers and volunteers to manage the bus; to Drive the Bus you will need to fulfil our insurance requirements and have the correct classification on your license. In both cases a DBS check will be required and any volunteer will have to go through the Methodist Church’s Safer Recruiting process. Because this is a Christian Activity, church references will also be required.
- Volunteer to be in the Pit Crew (Prayer Support)
As we have mentioned previously prayer is vital, every time the bus is in operation on the street we have volunteers waiting at the other end of the phone readily praying into each unique situation.
- Purchase a Bus Ticket/s (Financially Support this Bus ministry)
Running the Bus isn’t cheap but through God’s provision groups and individuals commit to supporting our ministry through investing in ‘bus tickets’ which is a £2 direct debit scheme, where those interested can donate increments of £2 a month to our ministry- whether it’s £2 or £102 your donations are important.
- Invite The GodPod (To be a part of your mission and outreach).
If you are part of a Church/Organisation/School or Charity and would like to invite us along to an event or an ongoing commitment, then please be in touch and we will try to accommodate your request- practicalities permitting. Please note: any new initiative depends on willing volunteers and whilst we would love to be out every hour of the day with the bus we are limited by the support given (please see other ways to support us) and by bus maintenance, geographical, council limitations.
