The Challenge

Many people in Britain today do not understand the Church. Many only know of Christianity as another "world faith" and view the Church as irrelevant and outdated. This is a challenge for Christians today. No longer can the Church rely on the old "Christendom model" that assumes most people in this country are basically Christian and will eventually find their way into a church…those times have long since passed. Yet, within society there exists a spiritual hunger, an openness to the divine; there remains that God-given desire to know the truth. We hold the Truth…we just need to seek ways communicate it more effectively in this age.

But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will someone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, "How beautiful are the feet of the messengers who bring Good News!"
