After many recommendations about how amazing Margaret’s Tea Rooms is, a friend and I made a date to try it out.

Located just off the top of the High Street, near the Cheese Society, on St Martin’s Square, a lovely area in Lincoln it is located overlooking the lush greenery.

What a beautiful place, wonderfully set out and decorated, with a beautiful selection of cakes to choose from underneath their signature blended teas.

I’d already reserved a table earlier in the week and pre-ordered afternoon tea, I just had to choose a tea to accompany it.

With a great range of tea on offer with some ingenious names, and to smell before choosing, with one of my favourite holiday destinations it’s Whitby, I went for a Day At Whitby, described as a blend of lemongrass, ginger, Lennon peel and cornflower petals.

The afternoon tea was beautifully presented with a good selection of sandwiches and cakes, an elderflower presse was also chosen whilst I was waiting for my friend to come.

The tea was devine, with all the flavours bursting out, a good lemon and ginger zing his the taste buds, beautiful to the last drop.

I can easily see and taste why it’s number one on trip advisor, and why booking a table is advised, the place was buzzing with folks.

A fabulous new addition to Lincoln’s scene, with great tea, food and service in abundance.
